BASETSANA JULIA KUMALO
Chairperson
Meet Bassie Kumalo, our esteemed Chairperson and former Miss South Africa (1994). With a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Diploma in Marketing, she is not only a global young leader recognized by the World Economic Forum but also a dedicated philanthropist. Alongside her husband, Bassie co-founded the Romeo and Basetsana Kumalo Family Foundation, focusing on the development of children, especially those affected by HIV/AIDS. As a brand ambassador for blue-chip companies and a board member of various organizations, Bassie brings a unique blend of leadership and compassion to 2 Seam.
Paul Erskine
Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Paul Erskine, our COO, has been a pivotal figure in the coal-related business since the early 2000s. With a successful negotiation history, Paul orchestrated the takeover and management buy-out of Woestalleen Colliery, eventually becoming the COO of Nucoal Mining (Pty) Ltd. His strategic mindset led to the establishment of Nucoal as a major player in the coal industry, negotiating product contracts with Eskom and achieving substantial returns for investors. Paul’s wealth of experience and commitment to excellence drive the operational success of 2 Seam Mining.
Lindiwe Leketi
Director
Lindiwe Leketi, our Director, brings a wealth of knowledge to 2 Seam Mining. Holding a Master’s Diploma in Human Resources Management and a BA in Social Work, Lindiwe is not only an entrepreneur but also a trustee of the Agang Sechaba charity organization. Committed to improving the quality of life in disadvantaged communities, Lindiwe’s role extends beyond the boardroom. Her diverse background and dedication to community development make her an integral part of our leadership team.
Brad MacGibbon
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Brad MacGibbon, our CEO, holds a bachelor’s degree from Oxford Brooks University (UK) and boasts over 15 years of experience in the mining sector. With a track record of seeing projects through from concept to operation, Brad is a seasoned professional. His keen insight and strategic approach have been instrumental in the success of various organizations within the mining sector. Under Brad’s leadership, 2 Seam charts a course for sustained growth, development, and operational excellence in the mining industry.
